Created Equal →
“In America, the chasm between rich and poor is growing, the clash between conservatives and liberals is strengthening, and even good and evil seem more polarized than ever before. At the heart of this collection of diptychs is my desire to remind us that we were all equal, until our environment, circumstances, or fate molded and weathered us into whom we have become.” - Mark Laita...
"Rise & Shine, Sleepy Squirrels!"
That’s what my dad always said to my sister and I to wake us up in the mornings. I remember him yelling it up the stairs in a super cheerful voice, but of course it irritated the crap out my us. Our living room. Still needs a little work (light). I’ve since stocked the bookshelf with actual books. It is cozy though.
This is our dining area, don’t you love...
After visiting Nashville last weekend and conquering Green Hills traffic, it’s not hard to believe it’s been named the #3 most shopaholic city in the country.
10 Things I Miss Most
After moving to Louisiana nearly three months ago and then visiting Nashville for a weekend, it really makes me appreciate my home town. These are the things I miss most (in no particular order). Some I expected to miss, others I did not.
Nashville radio (Not just lightning 100, but radio in general. There are NO country stations in New Orleans!)
Seeing my niece grow and learn new things - like...
