Our New Place

Lots of people have been asking to see photos of our new place in Mandeville, so without further adieu, welcome to our humble abode.

This is the outside, very 1970’s. And yes we did sign a lead-based paint waiver.

Our living room. Still needs a little work (light). I’ve since stocked the bookshelf with actual books. It is cozy though.

This is our dining area, don’t you love our fancy table? The previous photo was taken from this staircase. I’m so glad we got the stairwell photos hung quickly, they really add that homey feel.

The kitchen, clearly. I love having the vent hood; I can cook bacon without smelling like it all day. It is lacking a garbage disposal, which has been an adjustment!

And the guest room, where my fortunate friends and family get to lay their sweet noggins. We also squeezed a desk in here, so there isn’t room for doing much other than sleeping.

And finally, our master bedroom. We were barely able to fit our furniture in there. It is also “cozy” in real estate terms. Looking at this picture makes me realize how we need something above the bed.

The space below was a huge selling factor for us, a completely fenced in private area for the dogs. It is great having a condo and not having to walk the dogs every time they need to go.

This is where I parked my un-employed self many days during the “job hunt”.

And when I wasn’t by the pool, I was by the lake, only a quick block away from the condo. Charlie loves the park by the lake.

I had a nice two-month vacation, enjoying the pool and the lake. Oh and stocking up on cooking show inventory. I had missed those since college!

Hope you enjoyed the tour. Come on down now, ya’hear!
